STEUBENVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Alban Petchal Jr. of Steubenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyson Leigh, to Matthew John Burriss, son of Judith Burriss of Mingo Junction and John Burriss of Wintersville.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Steubenville High School and a 2007 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is employed by Education Management Corp. in Pittsburgh as a staff accountant.
Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a 2007 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a master’s degree in counseling. He is employed as a mental health therapist with North Point Behavioral Health Services in St. Clairsville.
They plan to be married Nov. 27 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
